This Cemetery is located at Chalmette, in the parish of St. Bernard, Louisiana, six miles below New Orleans, and fronts on the Mississippi River.  It contains the remains of those who died in the Hospitals, and were gathered from the burying grounds in New Orleans, and from many other places in this section of the State.
